A new guy in town.
Rumors of witchcraft.
Doomed first love.
This is where the saga begins. . . .
They say every town has its secrets, but that doesn’t even begin to describe Fallen Oaks. The townsfolk are a superstitious lot and the mystical disappearance of a local teen has everyone murmuring about a centuries old witch’s curse.
When sixteen-year-old Shiloh Trudell takes a summer job at Craven Manor, she discovers a ghost with an agenda. That’s where she meets the new town hottie, Trent Donovan, and immediately becomes enchanted by his charms. Finally, Shiloh’s met someone who is supercute and totally into her, but Trent is immersed in the cunning deception that surrounds the mysterious Craven Manor. Yet neither one of them can deny the immediate, passionate connection growing between them.
With cryptic messages from a pesky wraith, Shiloh will finally begin to understand the mysterious significance of the strange mark branded on her wrist and decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice to protect the other teenagers in town. Unfortunately, for Shiloh, not all ghosts want help crossing over. Some want vengeance.
Well written story, school girl crushes on new hottie in town, finds out she’s a witch, of course none else knows this , not even her best friend Ari.
Strange disappearances of young kids have been happening for years and it’s all linked to the originally witches of the town. Yes Shiloh’s Famiy on her mothers side. All original witches born to the craft.
Shiloh is on a mission to destroy the demon who she believes is doing this and shes being haunted by the hottie ,Trents, moms ghost who killed herself years before. She comes to work at Craven Manor for architecture experience and also learns the Trents uncle is a paranormal expert who wants to mentor her. Her friend comes to visit and disappears which makes me think why would Trents uncle leave her in the manor alone anyways, when he know the danger and he’s outside relaxing in the sun, unless he’s got something to do with all this even though he’s acting like a good guy. Shiloh also finds out, Darrah her mom is a bad and very powerful witch who she has a very bad relationship with and is head of her evil coven.
I really hated how the book ended. Real cliffhanger. But I liked that there were a few chapters on Trents side of the story that lets you get to know him better. I will be reading the next book. It’s gotten a whole lot more interesting after you get to know who everyone is which is basically what this book is, who and what people can do, what the past has to do with the present and how Shiloh is the thirteenth daughter and has a very big rule to play.
I recommend this book.
