SILK BY Chris Karlsen – REVIEW

91R3iN3CdcL._SL1500_It is the time of Jack the Ripper, the widowed Queen Victoria sits on the throne of England. The whole of London is on edge wondering when or where Jack will kill next. The Palace, Parliament, and the press are demanding the police do more to find him.

In another part of London, rough-around-the-edges war hero, Metropolitan Detective Inspector Rudyard Bloodstone has his own serial killer to find. Inter departmental rivalries, politics, and little evidence to go on hamper the investigation at every turn. In a battle of wills, Bloodstone presses forward following his instincts in spite of the obstacles.

Adding to those problems, away from the strains of the investigation, he is engaged in the ups and downs of a new relationship with a lovely hat maker.

MY REVIEW:

In this book the killer is revealed from the start. So your thinking now, well why read it there’s no mystery here right? Wrong!
The Book goes on taking you down a twisted road of events. You get into the mind of the killer, who I actually liked. He had a kinda of nice style.
Then you have detective Rudstone who we get to know on a personal basis as well as work.
He misses s one clues but hey we know their there he doesn’t right, it’s the book and the reader. So we cant fault him.
You will one to love the book permanently hit kind of a slow part here and there be a use it picks right back up. Remember this is written the same time Jack the Ripper is on the loose so like I said you got your twists and turns going on.
You will love the mystery if you like mysteries or even if your looking for something new and fresh to read. This is the book for you.
I have read one other book if Ms Karlsens and it’s so different.
This book is a good read.
I’m not giving you any clues . No. Read this.enjoy.
You won’t regret it.
I’m looking forward to another twisted mystery book from Ms Karlsen.

I was given this book for a honest review.
