sea of journeyThere’s no such thing as a dream within a dream. Poe was wrong. Dreams are deep shadows between reality and illusion. In the haunted Abasteron House, artist Kip Livingston dreams of a mysterious winged being, all bone and muscle and greedy teeth plunged out. Until one night when her dreams break through the illusion and the nightmares become reality.

The characters:
Kip Livingston is a stunning young artist living alone in Abasteron House on Horn Island, painting her dreams every day. But inside this antique house by the sea, another power rules her nights. What does this fierce winged creature want? Is it haunting her from the secrets of her past … or for her destiny?

Raymond Kera, a priest exiled to Horn Island, falls for the seductive Kip Livingston but risks his own sanity when her nightmares invade his dreams. Raymond knows these dark angels who dominate and the demons of his past—the road to hell is paved with the skulls of priests. With his vows violated, Ray must choose between God and the human love he so desperately desires.

Above
Callie Lane is your typical all-American teenager, struggling with issues of love and jealousy, boys, schoolwork, picking out the right clothes, right vs. wrong, good vs. evil and navigating her way through the straits of “growing up.” The only difference is that Callie is dead. And her world is now ABOVE.

When 17 year-old Callie’s life is suddenly cut short, she “wakes up” ABOVE, and soon discovers it’s not exactly what she expected. Still reeling from the fact that she is, in fact, no longer living, Callie learns that she’s also part of a select group of recently-passed teens fated to become Guardians.

Not only does Callie have to go to Guardian school, her dead grandmother happens to be the headmistress and the curriculum includes revisiting every mistake she’s ever made. And since no one seems to want to give her a straight answer about anything — including the mysterious empty room next to hers — Callie comes to realize that life ABOVE is even more confusing than the life she just left behind.

Callie must come to terms with her Watched resisting her guidance, her feelings for Logan, a boy she’s drawn to but who withholds from her, and the knowledge that she is a target for the evil that exists ABOVE. But her hardest lesson will be to understand that she has as much to give as she has to learn. Callie must choose to acknowledge and accept her gifts, embrace her fate, and become a Guardian who can make a difference that will impact the worlds below, ABOVE and beyond

When Harriet French arrives at Oxford University from her working class northern state school, she’s prepared for a culture shock, but not to become embroiled in the Cavaliers’ scheming and bloodlust. Harriet thought she’d be busy enough juggling her demanding tutor, new friends, and the murky world of student politics. But now, she must find the rebel vampire who is killing off the members, stop the Cavaliers from orchestrating a massacre of the year’s most beautiful and successful students, and defy the Society to be with the man of her dreams.

the reaper withinMelissa Chaser leads what most people would think was an interesting life. Mel’s job was to find wayward spirits and cross them over to the other side; she was a real life Reaper. It was a hard and dangerous job, especially when the spirits were wreaking havoc on people or property, but it was never anything that she couldn’t handle.

And then she got the fateful call from Mrs. Mabry. There was a problem with a house she’d just purchased, and she needed Mel’s help. It was just standard ghost stuff; things moving around, and a few disembodied voices, but nothing Mel hadn’t seen a thousand times before.

Little did she know who, or what, she would find when she stepped into the old Memphis mansion. Nothing about the ghosts in the home made any sense to her, and time was running out. Could Mel finish the job and get off the property before something in the house reaped her?

iron bloom(Legend if the Iron Flower)well written book. a lot of blood and gore. if you don’t like reading book like that his book is not for you. The entire book is about fighting and killing, a bit of romance thrown in and heartbreak.
I did like the kick ass female warrior in this book who endured more pain & killing in her teens then anyone should in a lifetime. Rose the main character is. big strong young warrior who kills for what is right not just to be evil. I thought their might be some surprise ending to what makes her so special that she never dies even if the wounds she endures that by all means should kill her any times over but their was nothing…it was however left open and ended very abruptly. I’m sure their is a sequel to follow. maybe we’ll learn what makes Rose so special after all.

In my opinion if you like strong female warriors, a lot of blood, fighting, and horrific killing you’ll love this book. I not you won’t. none stop killing from bargaining to end.
I do recommend if you like his kind of read.
